Because they got married at night, we decided to schedule a post-wedding shoot where we could enjoy the benefits of sunset lighting. That shoot was just a couple of weeks ago.
It was so nice to spend time with Chris and Tabitha for an evening - seeing them all dressed up again and enjoying each other as husband and wife.
I love seeing you two as Mr. & Mrs. Dance... you look even more in love than you did on your wedding day (if that's possible!).
1. He's celebrating his very first birthday! And his parents are throwing him a super-cool party that involves a cake that looks like a monkey (made by his Auntie Mal)... I'll admit it, I'm jealous.
2. He's got a very handsome and charming older brother to look up to.
3. He's going to be a big brother in 2010!

This shoot was all about Carter turning one... but of course we couldn't leave big brother Jackson out of the fun. When you're this well dressed, you need to be photographed.
Happy Birthday, Carter! It makes me smile to see the blessings God is pouring into your life... right from the start!
Great pics. I remember what a joy it was to have a birthday party for our Eli when he turned one last year. He's got a little brother now whose birthday is nine days before his, so September should always be a fun month around our house.

I adore these pictures. More accurately, I adore the fairly freshly married Ryan and Jess Suzuki.

I love how Jess is just a natural model. I don't have to tell her to do a thing. Ryan does alright, too, if I may say so.

We too love the summer s'mores around the fire pit - my 6 year old lives for it :-). We have had fun playing with different s'more recipes (although it is tough to beat the original). Two that we have enjoyed:
1. Instead of a Hershey's chocolate bar throw a Reeses peanut butter cup between some graham crackers and WOW.
2. Go Ghiradelli dark chocolate squares and raspberries with your cracker and marshmallow - a little foofy, but so good.
(okay one more) 3. Instead of graham crackers and chocolate bars go with those shortbread cookies that have chocolate already on them (easier for little kids to handle).
